Dear Day School Community-
IMPORTANT DAY SCHOOL NEWS
GRADE FIVE ENVIRONMENTAL CAMP.....Due to the complexities with shuttle busses transporting grade five students from East Boston Camp to our school each afternoon this week, busses will arrive to bus bus stops five to ten minutes later than usual.
LUNCH FUND.....As of Tuesday 6/1/10 for grade five students, and Friday 6/4/10 for grades three and four students, we no longer have the Lunch Fund for students to borrow from. Therefore Food Services won't be able to provide free food to students without a lunch ticket or money to purchase lunch. If your child owes the Lunch Fund please have them return the money owed as soon as possible. Thank you! The Lunch Fund will re-open for the the first day of school (Tuesday 8/31/10) for the 2010-2011 school year.
GRADE FIVE COMPLETION CEREMONY.....Grade Five families mark your calendar for the Grade Five Completion Ceremony on Monday 6/21/10 at 9:30 AM in the Day School Gymnasium. The program will include the following: Grade Five Academic Fitness (achievement and effort) awards, Grade Five Code of Conduct Awards (one student per grade five class), two Principal Awards, and Completion Certificates to each grade five student. A brief reception will be held in the school Dining Room with a free drink and cookie for each grade five student. All grade five families are welcome to attend! We hope you can join us for this special event!!
TRAFFIC FLOW.....It has been brought to my attention that traffic moving in the wrong direction in the side parking lot has created a situation where there was a near accident. Please travel clockwise (toward the school) when using the side parking lot. I appreciate your attention to this safety advisory.
OTHER DAY SCHOOL NEWS

A sincere thank you to parent Judi Morrison and the many other parents who worked in unison to provide a wonderful product for our students, families, and staff to remember the 2009-2010 school year. Approximately 250 yearbooks were sold. If you received one of the yearbooks you are very fortunate indeed.
SPEECH & DEBATE CLUB.....Last week was the final meeting of the Speech and Debate Club. This very popular extended day activity was avaialble for all students in each of the three grade levels. Day School Parent Sudha Mulpur had this original idea to offer this activity for students. The rest of the story is history....good history. On behalf of all student participants and their families we thank Sudha and the many people who assisted her. The other volunteers included former Day Schol student Pranav Mulpur as well as parents Mrs. Debbie Kinne, Mrs. Chrystna Chasse, Mrs. Namita Singh, Mrs. Linda Farago, and Mrs. Karla Ferrini. They even had a website to enhance communication about this club!
